892 pages. 10 1/4 x 13 x 4 inches. A set of 6 facsimile reprints of important, long out-of-print Japanese photography publications of the 1960′s and 70′s. This set also contains an a small book with English translations of the texts. Included in the box are three issues of the Japanese publication Provoke, Daido Moriyama’s book Bye Bye, Photography, Nobuyoshi Araki’s Sentimental Journey, and Takuma Nakahira’s For a Language to Come. These books come enclosed in a black laquered wooden box with metal hinges, they are wrapped in black paper and bound in rubber bands stamped with the title. The design for this publication was done by Gerhard Steidl in collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld.
